Pastor's Lenten Message 2025

Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ, 

We have entered into the Lenten Season.  It is a time to ‘Repent and Believe in the Gospel’.  Lent is a 40-day season of prayer and fasting that begins on Ash Wednesday and ends on Maundy Thursday.  It's a time to prepare for the resurrection of Jesus Christ on Easter Sunday. As mentioned in my Homily on Ash Wednesday we focus on the practice of the 3 Lenten Disciplines of Alms Giving, Fasting/Abstinence, and Prayer. 

Without prayer we find it hard to put our devotion into practice.  It is only through the Lord that we are able to discipline ourselves in self-giving.  Let us give of ourselves to sacrifice our time, talent, and treasure for God and others.

I look forward to walking along side you during this Lenten Season on our call to holiness as we mature spiritually and to grow our relationship in Christ.

May God continue to bless St. Mildred and all of her parishioners.
