Luke 6:38 reminds us that generosity toward the less fortunate is a virtuous act that serves humanity and connects us with a divine promise of repayment.
Mission: Join us in staffing and managing the Hem of His Garment Thrift Store, a vital cornerstone of our ministry dedicated to generating funds to support our outreach efforts. Through our dedicated team, we oversee and manage various programs, including Family Assistance, a year-round food pantry, the Angel Tree program, Meals on Wheels, assistance with special projects, and support for schools in our community.
Vision: Our vision extends beyond traditional church ministries. We aim to serve our community ecumenically, bridging the gaps and meeting the diverse critical needs of individuals residing within the boundaries of our member churches.
Goals: Increase the number of volunteer hours from St. Mildred's Parishioners and enhance their awareness of the services and opportunities the Hem of His Garment offers.
Encourage more St. Mildred's Parishioners' donations to support our mission and programs.
Values: At the heart of our mission is the belief that the local community is best equipped to assist its members in times of need.
Volunteer Opportunities: We immensely value the smallest contribution, three hours a week. We welcome high school students and individuals of all backgrounds to join us in making a tangible difference in our community.
